Dental Solutions of Chambersburg was opened for business on July 10, 2006 by Eric C. Weiss, DMD. A Pittsburgh native, Dr. Weiss received his Bachelors of Science in biology from Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio and went on to get his Doctorate at Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
After graduate school, Dr. Weiss relocated to the island of Guam located in Micronesia. There he worked perfecting his skills providing dental care as a civilian contractor for the U.S. Military and local government. After working and traveling through the Pacific rim for two and a half years, Dr. Weiss returned to the United States.
In 2001, he was recruited by the National Health Service Corps to treat the underserved population in south central Pennsylvania. After four years of service to the NHSC and more than ten years of experience in all phases of patient care, Dr. Weiss opened Dental Solutions of Chambersburg.
Dr. Weiss is an Eagle Scout, an avid sportsman and an outdoors man. He is an expert scuba diver and is certified as an instructor, rescue diver, equipment specialist, extended range diver, underwater photographer and videographer, along with being a cavern and shipwreck specialist. To date, he has logged nearly 1,000 dives in more than 20 countries around the world. Traveling and exploring new cultures are two of his favorite diversions.
