Dr. Brian Mitchell grew up in Marietta, Georgia and has remained in the state for the entirety of his education and career. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Georgia, graduating magna cum laude with a BS in biology. Afterwards, he attended the Medical College of Georgia School of Dentistry to earn his Doctorate of Dental Medicine. Dr. Mitchell is passionate about providing high-quality, comprehensive dental care and making his patients feel like family. His goal is to make each patients experience as comfortable as possible by listening to their individual needs. Dr. Mitchell and his girlfriend, Emily, reside in Roswell, GA with their dog, Cassie, and cat, Walter.
In addition to his private practice, Dr. Mitchell regularly volunteers at the Clarkston Community Health Dental Clinic. Outside of serving his patients, Dr. Mitchell is an accomplished singer/songwriter, having completed a full-length studio album of original songs and is often found playing gigs around the Atlanta area. He also enjoys exercising, traveling, going to concerts, and plays on a mens softball team.
Dr. Kimi Patel was raised in Farmington Hills, MI and attended the University of Michigan for her bachelors degree in Brain, Behavior, and Cognitive Sciences. She earned a doctorate from the University of Michigan College of Dentistry as well. After completing her doctorate in Ann Arbor, she moved to Cincinnati, OH to further her education and complete an AEGD residency (Advanced Education in General Dentistry).
Dr. Kimi strives to provide patient-centered, comprehensive, and compassionate care. She values the importance of fostering relationships with her patients so that they feel comfortable and truly heard. She strongly believes in evidence-based dentistry and enjoys teaching patients the importance of oral hygiene. Dr. Patel is excited to join the Atlanta community and start building relationships with future patients at Dental Care Acworth.
Although Dr. Kimi enjoyed her snowy winters in Michigan, she opted to raise her family in warmer weather and truly feels at home in Georgia. Outside the office, Dr. Kimi enjoys reading, trying new restaurants, spending time with her husband and son, and supporting the University of Michigan athletics (Go Blue!).
