Dr. Nguyenproudly served as aU.S. Army dentistfor three years and was stationed overseas. She regularly attends continuing education courses to stay informed and experienced in the latest dental innovations in materials, procedures, and technology.
Dr. Nguyenis a member of theAmerican Dental Association,California Dental Association,San Diego County Dental Society, and former Tucker Dental Society. When she isnt helping patients smile,Dr. Nguyenenjoys playing tennis, traveling, hiking, and painting landscapes and florals.
'Why am I a dentist? ..besides loving science and art painting, I believe that everyone deserves to have a healthy mouth, smile with confidence, and be pain-free. I know that many people have had bad experiences with their dental treatment, so I want to be able to give them a better experience. Dental treatment does not have to hurt or rough. We use the latest advances to make you are comfortable, for example, very effective numbing gel, massaging wands (Vibraject) during anesthetics, and allow time for you to be numb. It also helps that I wear extra small gloves! Even with all that, some people just prefer to have sedation. We have different types of sedation to choose from. You can be lightly sedated or choose general sedation. I also believe in helping as much as I can with finances. Thats why we have Compassion Financing and try to give you affordable options. We want to help as many people as possible to have a happy and healthy life.
My philosophy for dental health is prevention and minimalist. If a tooth looks suspicious of caries, then I would keep it on monitor status. Studies have found many correlations between the bacteria in the mouth linked with dementia, Alzheimer, and heart disease. If there is anything we can do to suggest and prevent you from getting caries, gum disease, or losing your teeth, that would be my preference. The more we can conserve your natural teeth, the better!'
