Dr. Cheng obtained her Doctor of Medical Dentistry from the Harvard School of Dental Medicine and completed her specialty training in Orthodontics and Craniofacial Orthopedics at the University of Minnesota.
In downtown San Francisco, she is oneof fourBoard Certified Diplomates of the American Board of Orthodontics. Dr. Chengs exceptional skills allowed her to study under some of the worlds best orthodontists at both Harvard and the Mayo Clinic.
Not all orthodontists are board certified. To become board certified, an orthodontist has to pass a rigorous set of written and clinical examinations, as well as a comprehensive review of their credentials. The initial process of becoming board certified can take anywhere from five to ten years.
