Dr. David P. Wickness was born and raised in Peoria, Illinois. He attended Indiana University, graduating in 1997 with a bachelors degree in biology. He then attended Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine, graduating in 2001.
Since graduation, Dr. Wickness has completed over 500 hours of continuing education with an emphasis on complex restorative, cosmetic, and implant dentistry. The majority of these hours were completed at the Dawson Center for advanced dental study in St. Petersburg, Florida and the Center for Esthetic Excellence in Chicago, Illinois. Dr. Wickness is a member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, Tennessee Dental Association, and the Nashville Dental Society.
Krista has lived in Nashville since 2004, moving here from Southern California. She earned her Associate of Applied Science in Dental Hygiene from Remington College. Before entering into dentistry she was a baker and cake decorator, she now enjoys making birthday desserts for the office!
Hannah moved to Nashville from the suburbs of Chicago. She is the oldest of three siblings. Hannah graduated from Southern Illinois University of Carbondale with a Bachelors in Science of Dental Hygiene. She enjoys hiking and spending time with family and friends.
Mary came to Music City by way of Omro, Wisconsin, a small town about 10 miles from Oshkosh. She currently lives in Greenbrier with her husband and 11-year-old son, Gavin. She graduated from Nashville State Technical Institute as a registered dental assistant with certifications in nitrous oxide monitoring, x-ray technology, and coronal polishing. She has worked as a dental assistant since 2000, joining our practice in 2003. Her favorite thing about her job is seeing the end result of her work and taking care of her patients.
Outside of the office, Mary spends most of her time with her family. She married Tommy in 2017 and acquired two stepchildren Hunter and Amber and a grandson Beau. She loves to go for walks and come up with new recipes in the kitchen.
Melissa was born in Peoria, IL, but spent most of her childhood in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. She moved to Nashville in 1996. She has worked as a dental assistant for 12 years. She prefers working in a general dental office, even though she has experience working in different areas of specialized dentistry. Melissa has settled in quickly, joining our team in June of 2021. In her free time, she enjoys cooking for her friends and family, spending time with her 4 children, hiking, camping, and kayaking.
Candy grew up in the small town of Cabool, Missouri with two brothers and four sisters. Married to her high school sweetheart, Von, for 41 years. She has a daughter, son, son in law, grandson and two granddaughters. She started her dental career in dental supplies in 1989 at Thau Nolde Dental Supplies, moving on to front desk at a dental office. Moving to Nashville in 1995, she continued working in dentistry. She joined Dr. Wickness in June of 2020. She enjoys working in a warm, caring environment with a team dedicated to providing excellent dental care. Off time finds her spending time with family, gardening, reading, sewing, and traveling.
