Since 1988, Dr. David E. Pettey has been providing families with exceptional comprehensive dental care. Born in Minnesota and raised in Arizona, California and Washington, he attended Brigham Young University in Utah to earn his Bachelor of Science in Zoology. He then obtained his Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Texas School of Dentistry in Houston and completed a General Practice Residency at the Veteran's Administration Medical Center in West Los Angeles, California.
To offer his patients the most advanced treatments, Dr. Pettey feels it is important to stay on the cutting-edge of dentistry. Thus, he maintains memberships in many prestigious professional organizations, such as the Academy of General Dentistry, American Dental Association, California Dental Association and the Sacramento District Dental Society.
In his personal life, Dr. Pettey married his wife, Mary, right after graduating from BYU. They have lived in Rocklin since 1988, and he started his own dental practice in 1990. They have four married children and seven grandchildren. All of Dr. Petteys kids are Rocklin High School graduates! While the kids were growing up, Dr. Pettey coached basketball, baseball and soccer in the community, and he is a long-time registered Boy Scouts of America leader and supporter. He has served as a Boy Scouts of America Scoutmaster, Varsity Coach and Explorer leader. Dr. Pettey has also been the Rocklin High School varsity football team dentist for many years.
Today, he and Mary love attending their grandkids ball games and activities. Dr. Pettey enjoys spending time with his family, as well as golfing, vacationing, hiking and camping. He watches sports of all kinds, particularly football, soccer, basketball and baseball, and he is an avid supporter of the Athletic Program at Brigham Young University. Dr. Pettey is also very active in his church, fellowshipping others in service and leadership assignments, particularly with the youth and young adults. Through his community and church service, he has gained many great friends and acquaintances!

Danielle Registered Dental Hygienist Alternative Practice Danielle has served in the dental field since 1999. She started her career as a Registered Dental Assistant at an orthodontic office in the Bay Area where she grew up. She practiced there for 15 years, completed her Associate of Science degree and her Dental Hygiene Certification at Cabrillo College in Aptos, California, and has been a Registered Dental Hygienist since 2005. In 2016, Danielle was licensed as a Registered Dental Hygienist Alternative Practice. She is certified in oral health for persons with special needs by the University of the Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry, San Francisco. She has enjoyed working with Dr. Pettey and staff since 2005. Her passion is to provide quality care that results in a quality experience. She loves building relationships with each of the patients and loves hearing about each of their families.
Outside the office, Danielle enjoys spending time with family and friends. She lives in Rocklin, and her two married daughters attended Whitney High School. Her daughters and two grandsons are the joy of her life! She loves volunteering at her church, enjoying the great outdoors, and going on weekend getaways.
Brooke Registered Dental Hygienist Brooke has lived in Roseville since her days at Woodcreek High School. She attended Carrington College (formerly Western Career College) and was licensed as a Registered Dental Assistant. She then worked in general dentistry offices, but later returned to Carrington to earn her Dental Hygiene Certificate and was licensed as a Registered Dental Hygienist in 2008. Brooke has shared her outgoing personality and sense of humor at Dr. Petteys office since 2011. She loves caring for and educating her patients.
Brooke and her husband, Jeff, have one son and reside locally. Her young son keeps her busy with trips to the local parks and playing around the house. Brooke enjoys baking, watching movies, reading books and shopping.
Erica Registered Dental Assistant Erica was licensed as a Registered Dental Assistant in 2006 and has worked with Dr. Pettey since early 2013. She received her dental training at Carrington College (formerly Western Career College). She has varied dental experience beyond general dentistry, having assisted specialists in pediatric dentistry and oral surgery. Ericas friendliness, knowledge, experience and visiting with patients helps them feel more confident, comfortable and relaxed in their dental treatment.
Having grown up in Rocklin and graduating from Rocklin High School, Erica is thrilled to work in her home community. When shes not working, Erica loves cheering for her Oakland Raiders, country music, traveling, and spending time with her friends and family.
Our services mean very little without a competent, qualified staff to deliver them. Our staff members have multiple certifications, and continue to improve and update their many skills through continuing education each year. We are also customer-oriented and work hard to make sure you feel comfortable in our office. Patients regularly comment that they are impressed with the friendliness of our staff and the gentle yet thorough dental care they receive.
Unlike some practices which have offices strewn out over several cities or even counties and states, we have one central location where we see our patients. Our prime location gives you easy access to your dental professional whenever you need it no hunting down Dr. Pettey or staff members across multiple offices!
Our services are not simply limited to general dentistry. Dr. Pettey also offers early dental care, gum care and cosmetic procedures, such as tooth-colored fillings, crowns, dental implants, partials and full dentures.
