Dr. Spokane was born and raised in Western Pennsylvania. He attended Gateway High School in Monroeville where he graduated with high honors. He attended The University of Pittsburgh for his undergraduate education. He graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Chemistry major and Mathematics minor. Dr. Spokane attended the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine earning his DMD degree. He then attended West Virginia University School of Dentistry earning his certificate in Orthodontics and Masters of Science degree.
Dr. Spokane has been in the private practice of orthodontics since 1994.He is proud to beBoard Certifiedin orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics and a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. He has practices in:Chippewa, Center Township,Ellwood City, New Castle,Ambridge, and Cranberry Township.
Dr. Spokane is a VIP Platinum Provider of Invisalign and has lectured on Invisalign Treatment to Orthodontic Residents and orthodontists in the Pittsburgh area. He has lectured to orthodontists, general dentists and dental hygienists on the Hamilton Synergistic Approach to Early Orthopedic and Orthodontic treatment and is the former associate of the late David C. Hamilton. He is a graduate of the Arnett Facial Reconstruction Course in Santa Barbara for Orthodontists and Oral Surgeons.
He has served as president and program chair for The Western PA Society of Orthodontists and the Beaver and Lawrence County Dental Societies. He is the former editor and board member of the Pennsylvania Association of Orthodontists. He is the program director and organizer of the Annual Dental Hygienist Seminar of the Beaver/ Lawrence County Dental Societies. Dr. Spokane is the AGD Pace Provider liaison for BVDS, LCDS and The Event for Higher Dental Education.
He is a member of: The American Dental Association, The Pennsylvania Dental Association, The Dental Society of Western Pennsylvania, The Beaver Valley Dental Society (BVDS), The Lawrence County Dental Society (LCDS) , The American Association of Orthodontists, The Great Lakes Society of Orthodontists, The Pennsylvania Association of Orthodontists, and The Western Pennsylvania Society of Orthodontists . He is the founding member of The Event for Higher Dental Education.
Dr. Spokane currently resides in Beaver, PA. He has three wonderful daughters, Alexa, Karissa and Julia. They are all in college in Pittsburgh! Alexa and Karissa are currently both attending the University of Pittsburgh andJulia is attending Duquesne University. Being a University of Pittsburgh alumni, Dr. Spokane enjoys attending Pitt sports events with his daughters, friends and family. He also enjoys cheering on the Pittsburgh Steelers!
Dr. Karski is also native to Western Pennsylvania and proud to have graduated from Butler Area High School. She earned her Bachelor of Science Degree from Penn State University and her Doctorate of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine. She continued her education at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine and received both her Certificate in Orthodontics and Master of Dental Science degree.
She is board-certified and actively involved in many professional organizations including the American Dental Association, American Association of Orthodontics, Pennsylvania Dental Association, Pitt Dental Alumni Board, and Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society. She continuously keep herself up to date with the most current techniques in treatment as well as with new technology. She takes many continuing education courses throughout the year and strives to offer our patients the best, most comfortable and efficient treatment possible.
Her background in practicing orthodontics has created a vast amount of knowledge, as she has learned many techniques and methods of treatment from several orthodontists she has associated with since graduating in 2015, both in private practice and corporate practice. She also served as clinical faculty at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine department of Orthodontics.
Her life outside of the office is dedicated to her husband Matt, and her four children Arabella, Jack,Savannah, and Beckham. They currently reside in Connoquenessing Township where she grew up and are so thankful to be close to both of their extended families.
