Dr. Upshaw grew up in Cumming, Georgia and is passionate about dentistry. A graduate of University of Georgia and Georgia Regents University (formerly the Medical College of Georgia, College of Dental Medicine) he is board certified by the Georgia State Board of Dentistry. He is excited to be a part of such a great team at Creekside Dentistry. Dr. Upshaw enjoys getting to know every patient and hopes to make a difference in their lives.
Organized dentistry and continuing education are important to Dr. Upshaw. His commitment has led him to the Georgia State Capitol and to the United States Capitol to lobby on behalf of his profession as well as his patients. As a delegate from the Northern District Dental Society to the Georgia Dental Association, Dr. Upshaw works actively to promote and uphold the highest standards of general dentistry and patient care.
When hes not working, Dr. Upshaw enjoys golfing, television, reading, playing the drums and spending time with his family. He lives in Dacula, Georgia with his wife Tori and their daughter, Mary Watson. They are active members of Christ Place Church. In the Fall, you can be sure that Dr. Upshaw will be cheering for his two favorite teams, the Georgia Bulldogs, and Atlanta Falcons.
Dr. Helton is a general dentist who enjoys all aspects of dentistry. Dr. Helton became interested in dentistry while attending Brookwood High School. He takes time to get to know every patient and strives to make every patients experience a great one.
Dr. Helton is from Grayson, GA, and a graduate of Brookwood High School. Dr. Helton competed in track and field, cross country, and wrestling while at Brookwood. Dr. Helton continued to compete in track and field and cross country while at Columbus State University, where he received a Bachelor of Science in Biology. He competed at the NCAA National Championship twice and was a two-time All-American. While attending Columbus State, Dr. Helton was a member of the Tri-Beta Biological Honor Society, National Society of Collegiate Scholars, and Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society. He was also President of the Universitys American Medical Student Association. Following Columbus State, Dr. Helton attended the Medical College of Georgia, completing his Doctorate of Dental Medicine.
Dr. Helton has completed advanced training in implant dentistry as well as oral surgery. He is the former President of Wilmer Eames Dental study club that is composed of top Atlanta Metro Area dentists. Dr. Helton is the former President of the Kiwanis Club of Loganville. He enjoys being active in the community and volunteering locally. Dr. Helton regularly volunteers at FISH MD in Monroe to help residents with their dental needs. In his free time, Dr. Helton and his wife enjoy outdoor activities such as biking, skiing, and walking their Goldendoodle bear.
My first visit yesterday confirmed I have found a new dental practice home. The front office girls were very welcoming and friendly, Tiffany, my hygienist, was awesome and made me feel like we were friends, and Dr. Helton was great too. I am looking forward to the rest of my family getting in next week to have their teeth cleaned and to meet everyone.
