A native of Buckingham County, Dr. J. Cary Bryant grew up in New Canton, Virginia. He attended Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State Universityin Blacksburg, where he received his Bachelors of Science Degree in Animal Husbandry. From there, Dr. Bryant moved to Richmond, VA to pursue a degree in Dentistry at the Medical College of Virginia (MCV)where he met his wife, Louise. In 1967, Dr. Bryant graduated from MCV with a degree of Doctor of Dental Surgery. After graduation, he and his wife returned to Buckingham County to make a home, raise a family, and establish a dental practice in Dillwyn.
Since opening his dental practice in 1967, Dr. Bryant has been committed to staying informed on the most current dental techniques and knowledge in order to offer the highest quality of care to his patients. The purpose of his practice is to teach patients how to care for their teeth and maintain their oral health. Dr. Bryant prides himself on beinga gentle dentist.
Outside of his busy practice, Dr. Bryant enjoys spending time with his family. He and his wife have two daughters, andfour grandchildren. His oldest daughter, Kathleen Bryant Seiler, DDS, joined his practice in 2010. His son-in-law, Dr Joseph Seiler, joined the practice in June 2012. Dr. Bryant also enjoys spending time working outdoors on his small farm.
Dr. Kathleen Seiler, a native of Buckingham County, is proud to join her father, Dr. J. Cary Bryant, in practice. She attended the University of Virginia, where she received a Bachelors Degree in Economics. Dr. Seiler attended the Medical College of Virginia at Virginia Commonwealth University, where she received her Doctorateof Dental Surgery in 2002.She began practicing dentistry as a commissioned officer in the US Army. She completed a 2-year Comprehensive Advanced-Education in General Dentistry residency at Ft Bragg, NC, where she received training in cosmetic dentistry, implant restorations,and sedation dentistry. Following her residency training, Dr. Seilerserved at numerous locations in the US and deployed to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. She is proud to have completed her military service and join her father and husband in private practice.
Dr. Seiler believes that a healthy smile is important to a healthy life.Her practice focuses on prevention of oral diseases and educating patients on links between their mouths and overall health. Dr. Seiler enjoys teaching patients of all ages to care for their mouths and restoring them to a healthy condition. One of the greatest compliments she receives is patients saying, 'She 's as gentle as her father.' Dr. Seiler hopes to continue the family tradition ofgentledental care by providing a comfortable, pleasant dental experience.
Dr. Joseph Seiler, a native of Bartow, Florida, is proud to join his wife, Dr. Kathleen Seiler and father-in-law, Dr. J. Cary Bryant, in practice. He was a Distinguished Graduate from the Virginia Military Institute, where he received a Bachelors of Science Degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry. Dr. Seiler attended the Medical College of Virginia at Virginia Commonwealth University, where he received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 2002. He began practicing dentistry as a commissioned officer in the US Army. He completed a 2-year Comprehensive Advanced-Education in General Dentistry residency at Ft Bragg, NC, where he received training in endodontics (root canals), implant restorations, and oral surgery. Following his residency training, Dr. Seiler served at numerous locations in the US and deployed to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. He separated from Active Duty after 10 years of service in June of 2012. He is now serving in the US Army Reserves.
