From the moment a new patient walks into Briargate Dental Center, Dr. Thomas TJ Baumgardner and his staffs mission is to ensure that everyone who visits us has an exceptional experience at our dentist office. Dr. B, as his patients call him, believes that experience is achieved with two basic principles. He feels it is ultimately important to provide his patients with comprehensive, advanced dental care through the latest equipment, and techniques. He also firmly believes that personal touches are imperative. His goal is to get to know his patients, making them feel like individuals and not a number, listening carefully to their wants, needs, and fears. Technology has the made the world of dentistry more effective and comfortable for patients. From same day crowns to soft tissue lasers to digital x-rays, Dr. B employs that technology to ensure patients receive paramount care. He doesnt forget about the patient as a person. Because people are all different, he strives to construct a personalized treatment method that works for a patient as an individual. Dr. B grew up in the military, spending the majority of his youth in Colorado. He graduated from Lewis-Palmer High School and went on to study Zoology at Arizona State University. He studied dentistry at Tufts University in Boston, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude. Following his dental education, Dr. B served four years as a dentist in the United States Navy, completing a one year Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency. Finally, he was able to return to his beloved Colorado Springs, to serve the community as a dentist. Dr. B has an amazing wife, a beautiful daughter, and a wonderful son that keep him busy when he is away from the office. In his few spare moments, he loves to play soccer and work on the series of childrens books he has written and illustrated himself.
I graduated from Pikes Peak Community College from the dental assisting program and continued by completing the EDDA program . I have been in the dental field for 28 years. (8yrs. as a dental assistant and 20yrs. as an office manager). I attended University of Colorado at Colorado Springs for Business and Marketing. When I am not working at the dentists office, I enjoy time with my family and friends, the beautiful outdoors of Colorado, music and traveling.
Ive been in the dental field for 17 years working with dentists and staff as an EDDA assistant and a Insurance Coordinator. As a military dependent, I have lived many places, but I call Colorado Springs my home. I enjoy gardening and the Colorado mountains but most of all I love the weather. I am blessed to work with such a caring and compassionate staff who throw a bit of humor into each day.
