It takes more than technical skills to be a good childrens dentist. It takes compassion and commitment and Dr. Maria has those traits in abundance. While making you and your child comfortable in a safe and positive environment, she will set your child on the right path to good dental health.
She attended college at the University of Miami and was awarded her doctorate from Nova Southeastern University, College of Dental Medicine. She earned her pediatric specialty certification as Chief Resident from the highly competitive program of Staten Island University Hospital in New York. During her years of private practice in New York she remained on hospital staff as a Clinical Professor of Dentistry where she taught dental students and pediatric dental residents. She holds distinguished memberships in numerous professional organizations, including the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Dental Association and the Florida Dental Association.
Also known as No Needle Dentistry, it is a less invasive way to do dental fillings and other procedures on children. Dr. Maria is Laser Certified by the Academy of Laser Dentistry and the College of Clinical Laser Dentistry. She earned an Associate Fellowship within the World Institute of Laser Dentistry.
She donates her time to the dental clinic at Our Lady Queen of Peace church in Delray Beach. She is passionate about her work as the first and only childrens dentist on staff treating underserved pediatric patients. She also volunteers on overseas dental missionary trips.
She recognizes that each child has unique needs and in order to meet those needs, she creates a partnership with the child, the parents and the office team with the goal of maintaining a healthy, happy smile that will last a lifetime.
