Digital x-rays use up to 90% less radiation than film x-rays. We use a small sensor to take a picture of the teeth, and the sensor sends an image to the computer where it will be digitally filed. This enables us to get a highly detailed image and also allows for magnification of that image on the computer. This helps to achieve a more accurate diagnosis with far less radiation than conventional x-rays.
An intraoral camera is used to help see the condition of your teeth and gums. By using the intraoral camera, we can accurately zoom in on cracks or chips in teeth, broken fillings, or areas of gum recession. With this precise image of a tooth, you can see what our staff sees by viewing a high resolution digital image of the area. This also allows us to monitor potential problem areas over time by comparing past photos of the area to current ones.
We use hybrid handpieces which are much more efficient than the older types of handpieces. This allows us to perform your dental work in a quicker fashion, resulting in less drilling and less time in the dental chair.
Berry Farms Dental uses electronic claims processing to file your dental insurance. Instead of filing your dental claim through the mail, we send it in an electronic format to your insurance company. The information for your insurance claim can be submitted more quickly and efficiently with fewer errors by using this method.
Berry Farms Dental is a digital dental office with all x-rays and all dental charting completed digitally and securely stored in your personal chart in our computer system. This results in a dental charting system that is easier to read, more organized, and much more efficient. It also allows us to share any dental information needed by your other healthcare providers at your request.
