I was born and raised in South Mississippi and graduated from St. Martin High School in 1997. I was privileged to have received a scholarship to play baseball at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College where I graduated with High Honors. From MGCCC I continued my education on scholarship to The University of Mississippi and received a bachelors degree in biological sciences. As a graduate student, I attended Mississippi College and earned a masters degree in biological sciences graduating Summa Cum Laude. Upon finishing at Mississippi College, I began dental school at The University of Mississippi School of Dentistry. After my first year of dental school, I received a scholarship from the United States Navy where I began my dental career.
After completing dental school and receiving my Doctorate of Dental Medicine degree, I attended Officer Development School in Newport, RI. Once I completed ODS, I reported to Camp Lejeune, NC, where I was assigned as a general dentist to 2nd Dental Battalion, 2nd Marine Logistics Group. During my assignment at Camp Lejeune, I provided dental services to Marines in direct support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom. It was an honor and privilege to provide dental services to our countrys bravest men and women. Although I am no longer on active duty, I do maintain an active reserve status as a dental officer and will continue to provide for our countrys finest men and women.
Somewhere along the way, I was lucky enough to marry my high school sweetheart, Melissa (Griggs). Melissa was also raised in South Mississippi and graduated from Biloxi High School in 1997. Melissa and I have been married for 18 years, and we have five beautiful children: Hailey, Will, Olivia, Patrick, and Peyton. We are currently residing in Biloxi, and we are excited to be returning home to raise our children on the Gulf Coast.
As a dentist, my goal is to provide quality dental care with the highest level of integrity to each patient. I respect and understand that each patient is different and requires unique attention and understanding.
Jennifer has been active in the field of dentistry since 2008. Jennifer has greatly enjoyed spending the last 15 years working in clinical and administrative positions. She continues to grow fonder of dentistry with each new day. At Back Bay Family Dentistry, she has the honor of doing what she loves most, which is helping people. Jennifers interest and hobbies include traveling, boating, scuba diving, and spending time with her family and friends.
Melissa is a native of Biloxi, graduated from LSU with a B.S. in Chemistry and from UMMC with a Masters in Biological Sciences. She has been with our office since 2014. She keeps our office focused as a team in helping to deliver the best patient centered care. When not coordinating office training she keeps busy with her husband and five children.
Tonya has been a Dental Assistant for over 20 years. Having a passion to continually grow as a dental assistant, she stays up to date on the latest advancements in dentistry. She has an excellent work ethic and is also a great team player at Back Bay Family Dentistry. She thrives on making patients dental visits pleasant and comfortable. It is always nice to see a patient come in with a smile, but even nicer to see them leave with one.
Rhegan was raised in Vancleave, MS. She graduated with an Associates of Applied Science in Dental Hygiene Technology in 2016. She is a compassionate and enthusiastic hygienist who delivers top quality care to patients and is genuinely invested in her patients oral health. When not working she is usually chasing around her 2 little princesses.
Brittany has been in dentistry for 2 years. She enjoys meeting new patients and strengthening the relationships with our established patients. Her personal mission every day is to bring a positive and pleasant experience to each patient. When away from the office she enjoys spending time with her husband and 3 children.
