Dr. Hampton received his Bachelors of Science in Biology from Valdosta State University and was accepted into dental school at the Medical College of Georgia in 1986. After graduating in 1990 and working a brief stint in Dalton, Georgia, he moved to Dublin, Georgia with his wife Roxanne and their daughter, Jordan. Having practiced in Dublin for over twenty-five years, Dr. Hampton has one the most successful dental practices in Middle Georgia and continues to excel in the art of cosmetic dentistry. Dr. Hampton has established his practice to be on the cutting edge of new technology and techniques. He avidly studies the field of dentistry, continually increasing his expertise in various facets of the profession. Each year he travels to continue his training in cosmetic, full mouth rehabilitation, and high-tech dentistry. Smile makeovers are a popular treatment in Dr. Hampton's office because patients love how he can transform worn, dull, and broken-down teeth into beautiful smiles. His philosophy is that everyone deserves a beautiful and healthy smile. He likes nothing better than to see the patient's image and confidence enhanced as a result of achieving the smile of their dreams.
Roxanne is a native of Georgia. In Pelham, she met and married Dr. Hampton. They had their only child, Jordan, in Dalton, Georgia shortly after Dr. Hampton graduated from dental school. After moving to Dublin in 1991 she helped Dr. Hampton establish his practice. Roxanne loves working in the office. She is the human resources manager, and she particularly likes forming relationships with our patients. Roxanne is proud of our commitment to excellence in dentistry. Derrick (Dr. Hampton) cares about his patients and goes that extra mile to give them the best care. When you speak about a 'true love of dentistry', Teresa would definitely fit the mold! Her career began at an early age of 18 in 1976, and it continues today! From Dental Assistant to Office Administrator, she has participated in many roles throughout her years in the dental field. Familiarity with the clinical side of dentistry has definitely provided the knowledge and experience necessary in the day to day operation of a busy and quite successful dental practice. Married for 30 years, Donnie and Teresa have one daughter, Hannah. Time is slightly limited for adventures and vacations, however, when the opportunity arises, a trip to the beach is most definitely the destination of choice! Grace Baptist Church of Dublin is an important part of Teresa 's life. Since becoming a Chartered member, Teresa has served on the Leadership Team, taught Vacation Bible School, and currently serves as the Children 's Church lead teacher and Bible Study teacher.
In October 2013, Artistic Smiles of Dublin welcomed a new hygienist when Holly Smith became a part of this dental team. She is a native of Dublin, GA, and received her Associate Degree of Science in Dental Hygiene from Macon State College in the year 1988. Definitely classified as an encourager, Holly desires for all of her patients to maintain good oral health. The goal of this hygienist is to create a relaxing visit as each patient receives the very best of care. One thing for certain, the opportunity to continuously learn through continuing education has always been of great importance. At Artistic Smiles, Dr. Hampton provides the latest technology for his patients. With this advantage, Holly is able to give excellent care. She is CPR and AED certified. Together with her husband, Kevin, they have two amazing children, Amelia and Sanders. Without a doubt, this hygienist is quite busy when she is not working in the dental office. She is a fitness instructor and she also works out at Crossfit DGA and has competed in Master's Crossfit Competitions. Gardening seems to be a favorite hobby for Holly, although she definitely enjoys spending most of her time with her sweet family.
In August 2007, Alisha joined the dental team of Dr. Derrick Hampton. Although she was not familiar with the dental world, she rapidly learned to assist with all procedures as she was well trained on the job. In November of 2008, Alisha attended a 2 day expanded duties course in Statesboro, GA. She was awarded a certification of compliance by the GDA as an expanded duties dental assistant. Alisha also received a certificate of completion for a 6 hour radiology safety course and is CPR certified. There is an obvious dedication shown to her patients as she enjoys making them smile during their visit. Offering words of comfort creates a pleasant experience for each one. Two of Alisha's greatest joys in life are her two teenage children, Logan and Alissa. While she enjoys all of their extracurricular at school, she does manage to slip in a little hunting and fishing in her spare time. Logan and Alissa share the love of these hobbies with their mom. As you can see, time spent with family means everything to Alisha and she makes certain there is plenty of that.
Excited to welcome Kandi to the Artistic Smiles team in 2017, the staff has added one more warm smile. Kandi has been in the dental industry since 2012 with a well rounded understanding of how a practice runs. You will see Kandi everywhere in our office from scheduling patients to assisting Dr. Hampton. She has attended classes all over the states to better her knowledge in Expanded Functions, Crowns, Bridges, Implants, Invisalign and Impressions. Kandi always has a smile on her face and an optimistic attitude which makes her a great fit for our team. She loves spending her time with family and friends and riding dirt roads with her husband, Jacob.
