Each doctor has completed a special two-year residency in endodontics that includes extensive training with the dental operating microscope. Dr. Justin and Dr. Stephen continuously strive to both learn and educate within the dental community. They belong to and lecture at multiple dental study clubs, and return to the GHSU dental school to educate the students there. Dr. Justin also serves as a scientific advisor reviewing article submissions to the Journal of Endodontics.

Stephen A. Parente received his bachelor's degree from the University of Buffalo where he graduated Summa Cum Laude and was awarded membership into Phi Beta Kappa. He then attended dental school at Columbia University and was awarded membership into OKU dental honors society for academic achievement. Dr. Parente furthered his dental education with a one year general practice residency before practicing general dentistry in New York. After 14 years as a general dentist, Dr. Parente went back to school for specialty training in endodontics at the Medical College of Georgia and received his specialty certificate in 1997.
Dr. Parente lives in Alpharetta with his wife, Donna, and his daughter, Jordan. His son Jonathan graduated law school from the University of Georgia. His son Justin is also an endodontist and has joined him in private practice. He enjoys coaching basketball, playing guitar, and spending time with his family.
Dr. Parente has presented at the American Association of Endodontists annual meeting and at his local chapter of the Seattle Study Club. He is a member of the American Association of Endodontists, the Georgia Association of Endodontists, the American Dental Association, the Georgia Dental Association, the Hinman Dental Association, the Northern District Dental Society, Southern Endodontic Study Group, and the Seattle Study Club.
Dr. Justin M. Parente is from here in Alpharetta and attended the University of Georgia. After three years at UGA, he was accepted early into dental school at the Medical College of Georgia. While at dental school, he earned awards for clinical excellence in both periodontics and endodontics, as well as awards for academic achievement and the highest score on the national boards. Dr. Parente was recognized as distinguished Hinman scholar and was inducted into OKU dental honors society upon graduation. He then completed the two year endodontic specialty program at the Medical College of Georgia. At the annual meeting of the American Association of Endodontists, Dr. Parente presented and won an award for his research on endodontic irrigation. He has joined his father in private practice, but often returns to lecture and mentor students in endodontics at the Medical College of Georgia. He lives in Alpharetta and enjoys playing guitar, reading books, and drawing art.
Dr. Parente is a clinical adjunct faculty at the Medical College of Georgia School of Dentistry and has presented on endodontics at the American Association of Endodontists annual meeting as well as at many dental study clubs throughout the southeast. He serves as a scientific advisor for the Journal of Endodontics, peer reviewing research submissions.
