Dr. Kevin Albert and Dr. Frank Jones both wanted to help people from a very early age, and this is what motivated them to pursue dentistry. Dr. Albert was born and raised in Ohio. He attended Ohio University where he received a Bachelors Degree in Biology and fell in love with his wife, Callie. He went to The Ohio State University College of Dentistry and graduated with Cum Laude Honors. In addition, he received the Carl O. Boucher Prosthodontic Outstanding Senior Award and the Quintessence Award for Clinical Achievement in Restorative Dentistry.
Dr. Albert and Callie discovered Charlottesville while on a road trip. With an instant love for the area, they returned often and Dr. Albert eventually proposed to Callie while hiking in the Shenandoah National Park. After graduating from dental school, they moved to Charlottesville and set down roots. In his free time, Dr. Albert and Callie can be found spending every moment with their son, Cole. Together, they hike often and spend most of their time in their vegetable garden and small vineyard. When Cole is napping, you can find Dr. Albert on the local mountain bike trails or fly-fishing the Blue Ridge streams.
Dr. Alberts treatment philosophy is simple treat each patient as if they were family. He believes in educating each patient to help them make the best decision for himself/herself. Dr. Albert strongly believes in Continuing Education to stay on the cutting edge. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Virginia Dental Association, Charlottesville Albemarle Dental Association, and a local chapter of Spear Education that consists of a dozen local dentists and specialists.
Dr. Jones practiced dentistry in Charlottesville since 1982. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia and graduated from the Medical College of Virginia School of Dentistry in 1979. His professional memberships include the American Dental Association and the Shenandoah Component of the Virginia Dental Association. He is also a past president of the Charlottesville/Albemarle Dental Society. In his spare time, he is a volunteer dentist at the Charlottesville Free Clinic and enjoys spending time with his 3 grandchildren.
Dr. Jones retired from the practice after 35 years of quality, trustworthy, and compassionate dentistry in the Charlottesville community. Over the span of his career, he is proud to have made many friends and he will certainly miss each and every one. He was proud to transition the practice to Dr. Kevin Albert, who has a similar treatment philosophy and moral character. Dr. Jones will continue to fill in for Dr. Albert while he is pursuing Continuing Education or on vacation.
