Karen is a Sunshine State native, and relocated to the Tampa area 6 years ago. She started in general dentistry in 2007 and moved into oral surgery in 2010. Karen has opened 4 offices throughout her career, and thoroughly enjoys training and developing a collaborative team that focuses on patient care. When not providing expert care to patients, she spends her free time scuba diving, travelling with her boys and she loves spending time with her fancy chickens.
Jill is from Iowa, but has made her home in the sunshine state for 10+ years. Jill enjoys trying out new recipes and practicing yoga in her spare time. She is always smiling and has an infectious laugh.
Ana relocated from the panhandle of Florida to Tampa within the past couple of years. She enjoys hiking, yoga, and thrift shopping. She loves coffee and travels every chance she gets. Ana is IV administration certifiedand will be working towards her DAANCE certification.
Yolanda brings over a dozen years of experience in oral surgery and front office administration. She ensures that the patients are warmly welcomed and works with our patients for all administrative items including scheduling and insurance. When not in the office Yolanda enjoys spending time with her family, reading a good book and traveling.
Dr. Thomas Backeris completed his residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Loyola University Medical Center in Chicago. He trained extensively in anesthesia, facial trauma and reconstruction, pathology, orthognathic surgery, complex bone grafting, dental implants, and surgical dental extractions.
Prior, Dr. Backeris earned his Doctorate of Dental Medicine from the University of Pittsburgh, where he was actively involved in the American Student Dental Association, Mission of Mercy, and he was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon dental honor society.
